Organize Organize Organize
We tend to be pack rats both digitally and physically it’s time to declutter both. Spring is the perfect time to clean out old files not only from cabinets and drawers but from your cloud storage as well. Also, trash redundant files when you have both physical and digital backups.
Clearing out your workspace will give you a renewed sense of spirit. Having a clean work environment is proven to motivate productivity. File important paperwork from your desk, trash old sticky notes, scan and shred loose papers; they are daily distractions.
Your website is a reflection of your business. “An outdated website harms a business’s hard-earned reputation, giving the customers the impression that everything else about the business is outdated, as well,” notes Entrepreneur. Make sure your language is simple and concise. Choose the terms that draw the most attention and makes them easy to search via the menu. Lastly, be sure to optimize your site for mobile devices
Social Media Relevance
Don’t just post for the sake of posting. If you feel like you are spreading yourself too thin by posting on all social platforms, just pick the ones that you feel will reach the potential customers that you are after. You must engage your customers by reflecting your brands’ story. The goal isn’t just the number of likes or followers, it’s the comments, reposts, and shares that matter.
“If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” doesn’t apply to workflow. Audit your software programs to be sure they are maintaining a high level of productivity within your business. If not, search for up to date versions or a new system altogether. Automating some of your mundane tasks such as mass emails or bill payments could save you time during your day. Also, audit your employees’ productivity. It could be time to reshuffle your employees after assessing their strengths and weaknesses and placing them in positions that suit them better. Outsourcing some jobs may provide aid in the areas that need short-term attention.
Keeping a clean working environment is like a breath of fresh air, it keeps distractions to a minimum and your brain on task. Cleaning out old files both digitally and physically is a weight lessened. Being relevant to social media can generate new customer growth, but does not mean you need to be everything to everyone if you don’t have the capacity. Up to date workflow processes can enhance positivity, productivity, and growth in your office. Make spring cleaning an annual ritual in your work environment. Using these tips may help motivate you and your employees to stay organized and on task. Happy Spring Cleaning!
